Following the General Election and Ed Miliband's resignation as the leader of the Labour party, the race for Number 10 has been replaced by a race to become Leader of the Opposition.
These races show incredible similarities. Indeed, anyone watching the Newsnight debate could easily have been convinced that rather than being between four Labour MPs, it was between representatives from the Conservatives, the Lib Dems, UKIP and the Greens.

We are going to track this battle on here, using the same method as we did for the Cricket World Cup. Taking the average odds from bet365, BetFred and Betfair, we convert these into probabilities. This will be updated regularly, although it is unlikely to be daily, given that the contest runs until September.
